What is happening?

NOTICE OF MAKING
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(CASTLE STREET AREA, CLITHEROE, RIBBLE VALLEY BOROUGH)
(ONE WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024



NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 09 October 2024 Lancashire County Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1) Castle Gate, Clitheroe, from its junction with Moor Lane to its junction with Castle Street south east to north west;
2) Castle Street, Clitheroe, from its junction with Castle Gate to its junction with Market Place south west to north east;
3) Market Place, Clitheroe, from its junction with Castle Street to its junction with York Street south west to north east;
4) Moor Lane, Clitheroe, from its junction with Lowergate to its junction with Castle Gate south to north;
5) York Street, Clitheroe, from its junction with Market Place to its junction with Chatburn Road south west to north east.

This Order will come into force on the 21 October 2024. A copy of the Order, and all
other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices
of Ribble Valley Borough Council, Council Offices, Church Walk, Clitheroe, BB7
2RA, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County
Council, County Hall, PO Box 100, Preston PR1 0LD, and on Lancashire County
Councils Website

regulation-orders/permanent.aspx, quoting ref: LSG4/894.19428/AFR. Any person
wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds
that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement
of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that
person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the
purpose to the High Court.
