Moor Lane - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
MOOR LANE, CARNABY
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
Moor Lane, Carnaby between Wilsthope Roundabout
to Carnaby Sticks Junction commencing
7 November 2024 to allow carriageway maintenance
works to be carried out safely. The road closure is
necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a
manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the
public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is
anticipated that the works will be completed
8 November 2024. The closure will be from 19.00
hours until 00.00 hours. The alternative route for
traffic affected by the road closure will be via Kingsgate,
Kingsgate Roundabout, Bessingby Road, Bessingby Way
Roundabout, Driffield Road, Bridlington, Main Street,
Carnaby Roundabout, Bridlington Bay Road, Moor Lane,
Carnaby and vice versa. The diversion route will be
signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed
to all traffic but access will be maintained for
emergency vehicles, residents and pedestrians.
