B6470 SALUTATION PUB JUNCTION
TO NORHAM, NORHAM (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
AND SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to introduce a road closure and speed restriction on the B6470 Salutation Pub Junction to Norham, Noorham from its junction with the A698 heading in a north westerly direction for a length of 1280 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 4th November 2024 until the 2nd May 2025.
Road Closure:-
A road closure will be in place on the B6470 Salutation Pub Junction To Norham from its junction with the A698 heading in a north westerly direction for a length of 1280 metres in the County of Northumberland.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 25th November 2024 until the 27th November 2024 between the hours of 07:30 until 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 2nd May 2025
Speed Restriction:- 60mph down to 40mph
A speed restriction will further be in force which will restrict the speed of all vehicular traffic from 60mph down to 40mph on the B6470 Salutation Pub Junction to Norham from its junction with the A698 heading in a north westerly direction for a length of 1280 metres in the County of Northumberland.
It is expected that the speed restriction will be in force from the 25th November 2024 until the 27th November 2024 between the hours of 17:00 until 07:30 during this period.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the C1, A698 and vice-versa

The road closure and speed restriction have been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out resurfacing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
