What is happening?

PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD
TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council intend, not less than
seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being or proposed to be executed on or
near the road and the effect will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that
length of Blyth Road at Tickhill in the City of Doncaster District as described in the
Schedule to this notice on the dates and times referred to in the said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the workforce whilst works
to construct the new section of the carriageway are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order is
via Bawtry Road, Tickhill Road, High Street, Great North Road, Bawtry Road, Blyth
Road, Tickhill Road and vice versa. Those residents and businesses directly
affected by the works will be notified of the scheme and access arrangements.

The Proposed Order will continue in force up to and including the 31st day of
January 2025 or until the works which it is proposed to carry out in or near the said
road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
SCHEDULE
Location
Blyth Road, Tickhill from its junction with Bawtry Road in a southerly direction for a
distance of 100 meters.
Dates and Times
On or after 00:00hrs 25th October 2024 until 23:59hrs 11th November 2024.
In the event of engineering difficulties and/or adverse weather conditions, the closure
may extend beyond this date although all closures to be completed by the 31st
January 2025.
