What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
THANET AREA
A255 Boundary Road, Ramsgate, CT11 7PZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A255 Boundary Road, Ramsgate, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside number 95 to the junction of Upper Dumpton Park Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 Boundary Road, A255 Hereson Road, A255 Ramsgate Road, A255 Queens Road, A255 High Street, A255 The Broadway, A255 St Peters Road, A255 Broadstairs Road, A256 Westwood Road, A254 Margate Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
A255 Ramsgate Road, Broadstairs, CT10 1FJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow vegetation cutting to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A255 Ramsgate Road, Broadstairs, on or after 12th November 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the railway bridge, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 Ramsgate Road, Bromstone Road, Rumfields Road, A256 Westwood Road, A255 Broadstairs Road, A255 St Peters Road, A255 The Broadway, A255 High Street, A255 Queens Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
A255 St Peters Road, Margate, CT9 1TH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A255 St Peters Road, Margate, on or after 12th November 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Sussex Avenue to outside number 39, between the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via A255 St Peters Road, B2052 College Road, College Road, Tivoli Road, A254 Eaton Road, A255 Grosvenor Gardens and A255 High Street.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A255 Ramsgate Road, A254 Queens Avenue, A254 Eaton Road, Tivoli Road, Beatrice Road, B2052 College Road and A255 St Peters Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
B2052 Nelson Place, Broadstairs, CT10 1NF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2052 Nelson Place, Broadstairs, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Tunis Row, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2052 Nelson Place, B2052 Albion Street, B2052 High Street, A255 High Street, A255 The Broadway, B2053 St Peters Park Road, B2053 Albion Road, B2053 Church Street, B2053 Beacon Road, B2053 Westover Road, B2053 Northdown Hill, B2053 Green Lane, B2052 George Hill Road, B2052 Whiteness Road, B2052 Kingsgate Bay Road, B2052 Joss Gap Road, B2052 North Foreland Hill, B2052 North Foreland Road, B2052 Stone Road and vice versa.
Devonshire Terrace, Broadstairs, CT10 1JQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Devonshire Terrace, Broadstairs, on or after 13th November 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of B2052 Nelson Place and Tunis Row, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2052 Nelson Place, Tunis Row and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Ebbsfleet Lane North, Ramsgate, CT12 5DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow railway works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ebbsfleet Lane North, Ramsgate, on or after 30th October 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the level crossing, between the hours of 23:30 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Ellington Road, Ramsgate, CT11 9ST (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ellington Road, Ramsgate, on or after 11th November 2024 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Poplar Road and Cannon Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ellington Road, Grove Road, Richmond Road, Crescent Road, Codrington Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Hardres Street, Ramsgate, CT11 8QR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hardres Street, Ramsgate, on or after 11th November 2024 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed opposite number 74, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Hardres Street, High Street, South Eastern Road, A255 Park Road, A255 Boundary Road, King Street and Belmont Street.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Hardres Street, A255 Boundary Road, A255 Park Road, South Eastern Road and High Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
St Mildreds Road, Westgate On Sea, CT8 8SS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Mildreds Road, Westgate On Sea, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Westgate Bay Avenue and Westbury Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via St Mildreds Road, Westgate Bay Avenue, Domneva Road, A28 Canterbury Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Tunis Row, Broadstairs, CT10 1JQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tunis Row, Broadstairs, on or after 11th November 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of B2052 Nelson Place, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tunis Row, Devonshire Terrace, B2052 Nelson Place and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
