What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD AND BRIDLEWAY CLOSURE ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highways in the County of Northumberland.
Bridleway Closure:
Harbottle Alnwick District Bridleway 008 from its junction with Harbottle Alnwick District Footpath 005 heading north eastwards for a distance of 235 metres.
Road Closure:
U4058 Holystone to Kidland Forest from its junction with Harbottle Alnwick District Bridleway 008 heading eastwards and then northwards for a distance of 415 metres.
The Order is to be effective from the 21st October 2024 until the 8th November 2024.
It is expected that the road and bridleway will only be closed from the 21st October 2024 until the 1st November 2024 between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, weekday working only during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 8th November 2024.
There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.

The closure has been requested by Go Fibre to carry out mole ploughing for the installation of a new box for fibre cabling. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
