A61 Main Road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
A61 MAIN ROAD, HIGHAM
WHEN: 21 October to 02 November 2024 (19:00 to 03:00 each night).
WHERE: A61 Main Road, Higham from a point adjacent the Greyhound Pub for a distance of 700m in a northerly direction.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway resurfacing works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A61 Main Road (from point of closure), B6014 Morton Road, Stretton Road, Main Road, Station Road, Stonebroom Lane, High Street, Birkinstyle Lane, Goose Green Lane, A61 Chesterfield Road (to point of closure) and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
The County Council has made an order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
