(Various Locations, Retford, Welham And Clarborough) (Temporary Prohibition Of Proceeding) Order 2024 (Bs24-244)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Retford, Welham and Clarborough in the District of Bassetlaw The effects of the Order will be :
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. A620 Moorgate, Retford - For its entire length
b. A620 Welham Road, Retford - For its entire length
c. A620 Welham Road, Welham - For its entire length
d. A620 Main Street, Welham - For its entire length
e. A620 Main Street, Clarborough - For its entire length
f. Springfield Road, Retford - From its junction with Moorgate for a distance of 50 metres in an easterly direction.
g. Waterfields, Retford - From its junction with Moorgate for a distance of 25 metres in a north westerly direction direction
h. Water Lane, Retford - From its junction with Moorgate for a distance of 25 metres in a north westerly direction
i. Moorgate Park, Retford - From its junction with Moorgate for a distance of 25 metres in a south easterly direction
j. Bolham Lane, Retford - From its junction with Moorgate for a distance of 25 metres in a north westerly direction
k. Welham Grove, Retford - From its junction with Welham Road for a distance of 25 metres in a southerly direction
l. Lidget Lane, Retford - From its junction with Moorgate to its junction with Moorgate Park
m. Longholme Road, Retford - From its junction with Welham Road for a distance of 25 metres in a northerly direction
n. Pinfold Lane, Retford - From its junction with Welham Road for a distance of 25 metres in an easterly direction
o. Little Gringley Lane, Retford - For its entire length
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road
a. A620 Moorgate, Retford - For its entire length
b. A620 Welham Road, Retford - For its entire length
c. A620 Welham Road, Welham - For its entire length
d. A620 Main Street, Welham - For its entire length
e. A620 Main Street, Clarborough - For its entire length
f. Springfield Road, Retford - From its junction with Moorgate for a distance of 50 metres in an easterly direction.
g. Waterfields, Retford - From its junction with Moorgate for a distance of 25 metres in a north westerly direction direction
h. Water Lane, Retford - From its junction with Moorgate for a distance of 25 metres in a north westerly direction
i. Moorgate Park, Retford - From its junction with Moorgate for a distance of 25 metres in a south easterly direction
j. Bolham Lane, Retford - From its junction with Moorgate for a distance of 25 metres in a north westerly direction
k. Welham Grove, Retford - From its junction with Welham Road for a distance of 25 metres in a southerly direction
l. Lidget Lane, Retford - From its junction with Moorgate to its junction with Moorgate Park
m. Longholme Road, Retford - From its junction with Welham Road for a distance of 25 metres in a northerly direction
n. Pinfold Lane, Retford - From its junction with Welham Road for a distance of 25 metres in an easterly direction
o. Little Gringley Lane, Retford - For its entire length
3. No vehicle shall proceed at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour in the following length of road at Town Name
A620 Welham Road, Retford/A620 Welham Road, Welham/A620 Main Street, Welham - A620 Welham Road, Retford/A620 Welham Road, Welham/A620 Main Street, Welham
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows : From 20:00 hours until 06:00 hours only
From Monday 21st October until Monday 25th November 2024.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be :
Moorgate (Vehicles below 7.5t) - A638 Arlington Way - Spital Hill- Lidget Lane and vice versa.
Moorgate (Vehicles above 7.5t) - A620 Welham Road - A620 Welham Road Welham - A620 Main Street Clarborough - A 620 Clarborough Hill - A620 Retford Road - A620 Gainsborough Road - A631 Beckingham Bypass - A631 Gainsborough Road - A631 Mill Hill - A631 Gainsborough Road - A631 Bawtry Road - A631 Gainsborough Road Bawtry - A638 South Parade Bawtry - A638 Great North Road -A638 North Road - A620 Amcott Way Retford and vice versa. The Order will come into force on
A620 Welham Road Retford (All Vehicles) - A620 Main Street Clarborough - Main Street Hayton - Smeath Lane - Tiln Lane and vice versa.
Lidget Lane (All vehicles) - Leverton Road - Spital Hill - A638 Arlington Way - A620 Moorgate and vice versa.
Little Gringley Lane (All vehicles) - Leverton Road - Spital Hill - A638 Arlington Way - A620 Moorgate - Tiln Lane - Smeath Lane - Main Street Hayton - A620 Main Street Clarborough and vice versa
This Order will come into force on Monday 21st October 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months)
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out works to carriageway patching works.
