What is happening?

Traffic Regulation Order Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14 (As Amended)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s) :
ORDER NO. MCC140208140 : The City of Manchester (Peter Street, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Peter Street from Deansgate to Lower Mosley Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be : signed locally.
The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate from Deansgate to Lower Mosley Street. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 28th October 2024 to the 30th October 2024 Between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00.
The order shall come into operation on 13th October 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Bradstock Road, Pepperhill Road, Axon Square, Criccieth Street, Crosscliffe Street, Raby Street, Great Western Street, Garthorne Close, Hulton Street.
The alternative routes for traffic will be Signed Locally The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Micro Asphalt Resurfacing It is expected that the works will be in progress from 24th October 2024 to 2nd December 2024.
The order shall come into operation on 24th October 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
