Norton Street - Temporary One Way Order

What is happening?

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Salford intends in not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make the CITY OF SALFORD (NORTON STREET, SALFORD) (TEMPORARY ONE WAY ) ORDER 2024

under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the proposed Order shall be one-way road closure on Norton Street towards Greengate. The diversion route will be via Gravel Lane - Greengate . The one-way road closure is required to provide a safe working space for the refurbishment works to the railway arches along Norton Street.

The order is intended to come into operation on 4th November 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by 25th April 2025. The closure will be in place 24 hours each day.
