Sandpit Hall Road - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic For Desilting Works
What is happening?

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic, including pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians, from entering or proceeding in that length of D43 Sandpit Hall Road, Chobham which extends from the western kerb-line of the un-named eastern access road leading to the property known as Popler Grove to the eastern kerb-line of the un-named western access road leading to the property known as Poplar Grove Farm.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate desilting works and/or culvert replacement works, which is anticipated to be carried out between 7.30am and 6pm on weekdays, as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 4 November 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain access at any time and all traffic will be required to follow the diversion route. No sole means of access to any premises will be affected.
Alternative Route – D43 Sandpit Hall Road, C9 Philpot Lane, A3046 Station Road and D43 Sandpit Hall Road.
