What is happening?

LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(CUTTS LANE, HAMBLETON, CUTTS LANE, OUT RAWCLIFFE, CHAPEL LANE, OUT RAWCLIFFE, TURKEY STREET, OUT RAWCLIFFE & DRYBREAD LANE, OUT RAWCLIFFE, WYRE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this Order.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over those lengths of road, in the Borough of Wyre, specified in the second column of Article 1, of the Schedule to this Order.
2. Nothing in this Order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibitions will be operative daily from 0930 hours to 1530 hours on the dates specified in the second column of Article 2 of the Schedule to this Order.
4. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
5. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is specified in the second column of Article 3 of the Schedule to this Order.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow overhead jointing and cabling works to be carried out by BT Openreach.

The following lengths of road in the Borough of Wyre will be closed daily between the hours of 0930 and 1530 hours on the dates specified in the second column of article to of the Schedule to allow overhead jointing and cabling works.
Temporary Road Closures:
Article 1: Vehicular access will be maintained, whenever and wherever it is safe to do so, between the hours of 0930 hours and 1530 hours.
