What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY 20 MPH SPEED
RESTRICTION A1079 GIANT BRADLEY WAY,
MARKET WEIGHTON AND PART OF
YORK ROAD, SHIPTONTHORPE

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be a temporary 20 mph speed restriction along A1079
Giant Bradley Way, Market Weighton and part of York
Road, Shiptonthorpe from the existing 60 mph speed
limit on Giant Bradley Way and 30 mph on York Road
during the following period Monday 21 October
2024 until Friday 1 November 2024 (working hours
between 22.00 hours and 06.00 hours).
The temporary speed restriction is necessary to
enable the installation of road studs to be carried out
in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of
the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is
anticipated that the works will be completed within
two weeks. Further information can be obtained from
