What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(WEST HYDE ROAD, HYDE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a

vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of West Hyde Road, Hyde from London Road to outside number 124.

This temporary closure is required to enable manhole replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 4 to 8 November 2024 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via B653, Thrales End Lane, A1081 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 4 November 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(LINCOLN WAY, HARLINGTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Lincoln Way, Harlington between the junction of Brian Road, outside number 13 Lincoln Way and Monmouth Close.

This temporary closure is required to enable dig and investigation works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 21 to 25 October 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route for this closure is via Brian Road.

The Order will come into operation on 21 October 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TODDINGTON ROAD, HARLINGTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Toddington Road, Harlington outside The Bungalow.

This temporary closure is required to enable source of water/road crossing and meter bypass works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 21 October to 1 November 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Westoning Road and A5120 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 21 October 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INSTALL

A ZEBRA CROSSING ON WEST STREET, DUNSTABLE

Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, proposes to establish a Zebra crossing on West Street, Dunstable.

A build out Zebra Crossing is proposed to be sited at the following location in Dunstable:West Street, at a point approximately in line with the east flank wall of No. 302 West Street.
