What is happening?

Somerset Council A372 St John Street and Barclay Street, Bridgwater in the Parish of Bridgwater (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that on the 11th day of October 2024 Somerset Council made the above Order in exercise of the provisions of Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as previously advertised on the 1st day of October 2024, to introduce temporary traffic restrictions on the roads specified in the Schedules below. This Order will come into operation on the 15* day of October 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The Works are expected to commence on the 22nd day of October 2024 until the 25th day of October 2024 to enable Wales and West Utilities to carry out works to install a new gas connection. The restrictions will only apply when indicated by traffic signs.

Schedule 2 - Temporary Banned Right Turn Barclay Street, Bridgwater - From Barclay Street onto St John Street

Statement of reasons for making the Order

a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
