Orchard Road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Orchard Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.141) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 29th October 2024 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
ORCHARD ROAD
From its junction with Fawcett Road to outside No. 2 Orchard Road.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate electrical works to renew link box and transfer services.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 29th October 2024 to 11th November 2024 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Fawcett Road, Fratton Bridge Roundabout, Victoria Road North, Fratton Road, Goldsmith Avenue, Talbot Road, Orchard Road and vice versa.
