What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The East Sussex (C27 Powdermill Lane, Battle & Catsfield)
(Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit) Order 2024
To allow The English Heritage Trust to safely operate the Battle of Hastings event 2024, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the following length of road to a speed not exceeding 30 mph:-
Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit
Powdermill Lane – from the junction with A2100 Lower Lake to the junction with B2204 Horns Corner. The Order commences 11 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the speed restriction will be in place between 11 and 14 October 2024.

The East Sussex (C638 Rock Lane, Guestling)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Rock Lane – from the junction with U6971 Eight Acre Lane to the junction with C639 Ivyhouse Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C638 Rock Lane – U3246 Red Lake Terrace – A259 Rye Road – B2093 Old London Road, The Ridge – C639 Chowns Hill, Ivyhouse Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 16 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 16 and 17 October 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6707 All Saints Lane, Bexhill)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
All Saints Lane – from the junction with A269 Ninfield Road to the junction with C346 Turkey Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C346 Turkey Road – A269 Ninfield Road.
The Order commences 28 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 28 October and 1 November 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (A269 Ninfield Road, Bexhill)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Ninfield Road – from the junction with U6583 Buxton Drive to the junction with P6573 Highfield Gardens.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A269 Ninfield Road – A2036 Wrestwood Road – A2691 Mount View Street, Haven Brook Avenue – A269 Ninfield Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 29 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 29 and 30 October 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2182 High Street, Bexhill)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
High Street – from the junction with B2182 Chantry Lane to the junction with B2182 Upper Sea Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2182 Chantry Lane, Holliers Hill – A269 London Road – A2690 Combe Valley Way – A269 London Road, Town Hall Square, Buckhurst Road – B2182 Upper Sea Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 28 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 28 October and 1 November 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (C22 Cottage Lane, Westfield)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Cottage Lane – from the junction with C22 Harts Green to the junction with C22 Chapel Hill.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C22 Harts Green, Wheel Lane – A28 Church Lane, Westfield Lane – A21 Ebdens Hill, Kent Street, Whydown Hill, New Road – B2244 Tollgate Road – C22 Chapel Hill and vice versa.
The Order commences 28 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 28 and 31 October 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Brede Lane – from the junction with U6626 Hurst Lane to the junction with U6637 East View Terrace.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C21 Brede Lane – B2244 The Street, Sandrock Hill, Hawkhurst Road, Compasses – B2165 Cripps Corner Road – B2089 Catts Green, Whorne Woods, Tank Hill, Chitcombe Road – A28 Cackle Street – C21 Pottery Lane, Brede Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 28 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 28 and 31 October 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.
