What is happening?

Warwickshire County Council

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

ARLINGTON AVENUE, LEAMINGTON SPA

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from points outside/between properties number 35 to 39.

Reason for Order: To enable works for installation of a new surface water pipe.

Order Commences: 15 October 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 5 November 2024.

Access & Diversion: Arlington Avenue, Binswood Avenue, Kenilworth Road, Lillington Avenue and vice versa. Access to frontages will be maintained.

Contractor: For STW, Route 1 TM, Tel: 01212 894 222.

GROVE STREET, LEAMINGTON SPA

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: Sluice valve renewal.

Order Commences: 15 October 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 17 October 2024.

Access & Diversion: Warwick Street, Dale Street, Regent Street, Grove Street and vice versa.

Contractor: Chevron Traffic Management Ltd, Tel: 03300 080 820.

HONILEY ROAD, BEAUSALE

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: Works to install stop tap.

Order Commences: 14 October 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 15 October 2024

Access & Diversion: Honiley Road, Rouncil Lane, Dirty Lane, Heath Terrace and vice versa.

Contractor: Chevron Traffic Management Ltd, Tel: 03300 080 820.

KINGSLEY ROAD, BISHOPS TACHBROOK

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: Works for boundary box installation.

Order Commences: 16 October 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 18 October 2024.

Access & Diversion: Church Hill, Mallory Road, Kingsley Road and vice versa.

Warwickshire County Council proposes to make the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

D41140 VINE LANE AND D41150 LAKIN COURT, WARWICK

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic between the junctions of Lakin Court and Woodville Road.

Reason for Order: Carriageway structural patching and associated works, 08.00hrs-16.00hrs

Order Commences: 29 October 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 29 October 2024.

Access & Diversion: Lakin Court, Paradise Street, Woodville Road and vice versa

Contractor: Balfour Beatty, Tel: 03452 415 302.

HASELEY KNOB, CHATTYLAND LANE & BRICKYARD LANE, HASELEY

Order Effect: Roads closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To provide a safe working for engineers accessing overhead networks, 09.30hrs-15.30hrs.

Order Commences: 31 October 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 31 October 2024.

Access & Diversion: Diversions will be signed.

Contractor: Sunbelt Rentals Ltd, Tel:03700 500 792.

OAKLEY WOOD ROAD, BISHOPS TACHBROOK

Order Effect: Road closed in a Northbound direction only from Church Hill to Harbury Lane.

Reason for Order: New substation works for Oakley School.

Order Commences: 28 October 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 1 November 2024.

Access & Diversion: Oakley Wood Road, Harbury Lane, Tachbrook Road, Old Warwick Road, Myton Road, Europa Way, Banbury Road and vice versa.

PUBLIC FOOTPATH ON EUROPA WAY AND MYTON ROAD, LEAMINGTON SPA

Order Effect: Footpath closed to all traffic.

Reason for Order: Junction improvement works on Europa Way.

Order Commences: 30 October 2024 for up to 6 months.

Anticipated Completion: 9 December 2024.

Access & Diversion: Europa Way, Old Warwick Road, Princes Drive and vice versa.

Contractor: C R Reynolds Ltd, Tel: 07546 428 279.

SCHOOL LANE, RADFORD SEMELE

Order Effect: Road closed between Southam Road.

Reason for Order: Works to cut off water pipe.

Order Commences: 28 October 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 30  October  2024

Access & Diversion: School Lane, Hatherell Road, Lewis Road, Southam Road and vice versa.

Contractor: Chevron Traffic Management Ltd, Tel: 03300 080 820.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.

THE WARWICKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL  

SECTIONS 65 & 66 HIGHWAYS ACT 1980  

PROPOSED CONVERSION OF FOOTWAY TO SHARED USE FOOTWAY/CYCLE TRACK AT A429 COVENTRY ROAD/ KENILWORTH ROAD, WOODLAND ROAD AND COMMON LANE, CRACKLEY, KENILWORTH

Warwickshire County Council hereby proposes, pursuant to sections 65 and 66 of the Highways Act 1980, to convert parts of existing footways on the A429 Coventry Road/Kenilworth Road, Woodland Road and Common Lane, Crackley, Kenilworth (as described in the Schedule below) into shared use footways/ cycle tracks for use by pedestrians and cyclists.

A copy of this notice, together with a statement of the Council’s reasons for these proposals and a plan showing the location of the proposals, can be inspected at the Main Reception in Shire Hall, Market Place, Warwick during usual opening hours and are available to view on the website at https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/cycling/cycle-route-schemesconsultation/10.

SCHEDULE

CONVERSION OF FOOTWAYS TO SHARED USE FOOTWAYS/CYCLE TRACKS

A429 Coventry Road, Crackley, Kenilworth

1.  North side, from the start/end of the existing shared cycle track at the Canley Brook (HS2 works/existing cycle track) southwards for a distance of approximately 380 metres to the pedestrian/cyclist access to Kenilworth Greenway.

2.  North side, from the pedestrian/cyclist access with the Kenilworth Greenway southwards for a distance of approximately 95 metres.

3.  South side from Redthorne Grove to Woodland Road for a distance of approximately 78 metres.

4.  South side, from the junction with Woodland Road to the junction with Common Lane a distance of approximately 130  metres.

Woodland Road

1.  East side from the junction with A429 Coventry Road for a distance of approximately 15 metres.

     West side from the junction with A429 Coventry Road for a distance of approximately 16 metres. Common Lane

1.  East side from the junction with A429 Coventry Road for a distance of approximately 30 metres.
