Edward Road And Lynncroft - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Large Scale Patching Repair Works

(Edward Road And Lynncroft, Eastwood) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2024 (Bx24-153)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Eastwood in the Borough of Broxtowe.
The effects of the Order will be :
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road.
a. Edward Road, Eastwood - For its entire length.
b. Lynncroft, Eastwood - From its junction with B6010 Dovecote Road, to its junction with Walker Street.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (Both Sides) (At Any Time) in the following length of road.
a. Edward Road, Eastwood - For its entire length.
b. Lynncroft, Eastwood - From its junction with B6010 Dovecote Road, to its junction with Walker Street.
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads
will apply as follows :
From 09:30 Hours, Wednesday 16th October 2024 Until 15:30 Hours, Wednesday 13th November 2024
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be :
a. Lynncroft - Dovecote Road - Nottingham Road and Vice Versa
b. Dovecote Road - Nottingham Road - Walker Street and Vice Versa
The Order will come into force on Wednesday 16th October 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months)
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out Large Scale Patching Repair Works.
