(Liverpool School Streets Scheme - Phase 1) (Various Roads) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving at Certain Times) Order, 2024.
Notice is hereby given that the Council has made the above-mentioned Order under Section 14 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in the following lengths of roads: -
Arlington Avenue from its junction with Greenbank Road in an easterly direction to its junction with Nicander Road; Barclay Street from its junction with Mill Street in a south westerly direction to its terminus; Brockenhurst Road from its junction with Rice Lane in a westerly direction to its terminus; Church Road from its junction with Prescot Road in a south westerly direction to its junction with Selkirk Road; Fieldway from its junction with -
(a) Thingwall Road in a southerly direction to its junction with Meadway; &
(b) Meadway in a southerly direction to its terminus; Garmoyle Close from its junction with Wellington Avenue in an easterly direction to its terminus; Meadway from its junction with Wavertree Nook Road an easterly to its terminus; Neilson Road from its junction with Tramway Road in a north westerly direction to its terminus; Watergate Lane from its junction with Priory Way in a north easterly direction to its terminus; & Watergate Way from its junction with Priorsfield Road in a south westerly direction to its terminus, other than an emergency service vehicle, a statutory services vehicle, a postal operator, or a local authority vehicle being used in pursuance of their essential duties, an emergency liveried NHS vehicle being used for the urgent transport of blood, tissues and organs, any vehicle being used by Her Majesty’s Prison Service or their contractors for the transportation of prisoners, a pedal cycle, an electrically assisted pedal cycle not being a motor vehicle or a disabled person’s vehicle carrying a disabled person accessing a property within the extent of that prohibition of driving, between hours the hours of 8.15am - 9.15am & 2.30pm - 3.30pm, on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, during the period of the 12 October 2024 until the 2 March 2026 or for such a lesser period of time as dictated by the eventual making of an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order for Phase 1 of the Liverpool School Street Scheme.
A signed diversion will be erected for the duration of this order.
