Isle of Wight - Multiple Temporary Road Closures and Parking Restrictions due to Works

What is happening?

The Isle of Wight Council (Longhelves Lane, Freshwater, Isle of Wight)

(Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 9 2024 - Longhalves Lane will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

The Isle of Wight Council (School Path, Freshwater, Isle of Wight)

(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles, Pedestrians, Cyclists and Equestrian) Order No 1 2024 - School Path will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

The Isle of Wight Council (Cockleton Lane, Gurnard, Isle of Wight)

(Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 5 2024 - Cockleton Lane will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 11 October 2024 and Friday 22 November 2024 the following roads will be closed at all hours for a period of approximately 1 Day within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway maintenance and investigation works to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. Adverse weather will have an impact on this programme:

The Isle of Wight Council (Standen Avenue, Newport, Isle of Wight)

(Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2024 - Standen Avenue will be closed between its junctions with Forest Road and Forest End. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 11 October 2024 and Friday 22 November 2024 the following roads will be closed between either 0600 -1800 or 1800 - 0600 for a period of approximately 1 to 5 Days within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway maintenance and investigation works to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2024 - Newport Road will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

Notice is hereby given that the following Orders have been made under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847-

The Isle of Wight Council (Quay Street, Newport, Isle of Wight)

(Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 6 2024

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 10:00 until 10:30 hours, and, from 12:00 hours to 12:30 hours, on Monday 14 October 2024, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along Quay Street for its entire length. The closure is required for safety during the Isle of Wight Legal Service Procession. The diversion will be signposted locally.
