Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -

The Isle of Wight Council (Cycle Track from Newport to Cowes, Newport, Isle of Wight)

(Temporary Prohibition of Cyclists and Pedestrians) Order No 4 2024

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Friday 18 October 2024, and Tuesday 22 October 2024, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any pedestrian to proceed along Cycle Track from Newport to Cowes, Newport, From its junction with Stag Lane for a distance of 540M North. Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0930 hours on Monday 21 October 2024, or when the works has been completed, Redhill Lane will be closed, between its junctions with Shanklin Road and its junction with Appledurcombe Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for utility works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 18 October 2024 and Friday 17 January 2025 the following roads will be closed at all times for a period of approximately one to 15 days within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway maintenance and investigation works to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe.
