Gower Grove - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic

What is happening?

LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(DOB LANE AND GOWER GROVE, LITTLE HOOLE, SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over the following lengths of highway in the South Ribble Borough:-
i. Dob Lane, Little Hoole from Tristan Avenue, Little Hoole to the Northwest boundary of property 12 Dob Lane, Little Hoole.
ii. Gower Grove, Little Hoole from Dob Lane, Little Hoole to the Northern boundary of the property 2 Gower Grove, Little Hoole.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0930 hours until 1530 hours on Monday 21st October 2024 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
5. Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closures is via:-
Dob Lane, Little Hoole
Tristan Avenue, Little Hoole and vice versa.
Gower Grove, Little Hoole
Tristan Avenue, Little Hoole – Dob Lane Little Hoole – Liverpool Old Road, Little Hoole – Walmer Green, Little Hoole – Gower Grove, Little Hoole and vice versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow desilting works to be carried out by Sunbelt Rentals UK on behalf of BT.
