NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City and County of Swansea in pursuance of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) has made an Order.
In order for Swansea Council’s Capital Projects Team to undertake bridge investigation works, it will be necessary to temporarily close the above road in part to vehicular traffic.
SCHEDULE - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE PONT Y COB ROAD, GOWERTON
Pont Y Cob Road in a southerly direction from its junction with Culfor Road for a distance of approximately 60 metres.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Waun Road, B4260 Glebe Road, B4260 Loughor Road, B4296 Victoria Road, B4296 Mill Street, B4295 Gowerton Bypass, and the unaffected section Pont Y Cob Road a distance of approximately 5 kilometres. This route is suitable for light vehicles only.
Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians to be maintained at all times The maximum duration of the order is 18 months, and it is anticipated the work will take 4 weeks to complete effective from Monday 14th October 2024.
