What is happening?
Manchester City Council Temporary Road
Traffic Regulation Order road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14 (As Amended)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s) :
ORDER NO. MCC140629787 : The City of Manchester (Dolphin Street, Cakesbread street, Manor street, Ardwick Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Dolphin Street, Cakes bread street,Manor street, Ardwick Ward. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Higher Ardwick, Hyde Road, Dalberg Street and vice versa.
The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 23rd October 2024 to 29th October 2024. The order shall come into operation on 23rd October 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

ORDER NO. MCC140611953 : The City of Manchester (Various Streets, Longsight Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Haxby Road, Meldreth Drive, Victora Terrace, Yeadon Road, Longsight Ward. The alternative routes for traffic will be : Hemsworth Road, Levenshulme Road and Vice Versa.
The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate carriageway resurfacing It is expected that the works will be in progress from 24th October 2024 to 8th November 2024.
The order shall come into operation on 24th October 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
