INTRODUCTION OF BIKE HANGARS – VARIOUS LOCATIONS

(REFERENCE: 24/163)

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames propose to make the above Order under sections 6 and 63 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

  2. The general effect of the Order would be to:

    (a) provide secure bicycle parking facilities (bike hangars) in each of the locations specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The bike hangars would be approximately 2.5 metres in length and 2 metres wide.

    (b) make consequential amendments to existing parking places at those locations to accommodate the bike hangars.

(Please note that Schedule includes various locations where the designation of existing bike hangars would be formalized.)

  • Copies of the proposed Order, plans showing the locations and effect of the proposals and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order:

    (a) can be inspected, quoting reference 24/163 at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, Ground Floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham, between 9.15 am and 5 pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank or other public holidays; and

    (b) may be viewed online at Public and traffic notices - London Borough of Richmond upon Thames

  • Persons wishing to object to or support the proposals or any part thereof should write to the Head of Engineering, Traffic and Parking Policy, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ within 21 days of the date of this Notice giving the grounds of their objection.     THE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES (TWICKENHAM STADIUM EVENT DAYS) (PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO. ) ORDER 202

    KNELLER ROAD, NELSON ROAD, AND WARREN ROAD, TWICKENHAM

    1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames propose to make the above Orders under sections 6, 45, and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

    2. The general effect of the Orders will be to introduce new lengths of double yellow line to create safe passing areas and provide protection for pedestrians for safety and vehicle accessibility. It is proposed to convert lengths of single yellow lines into parking bays in the "R" Zone for event days at Twickenham Stadium.

    3. Copies of the proposed Orders, plans showing the location and effect of the proposals and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order:

      (a) can be inspected, quoting reference 24/164, at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, Ground Floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15 am and 5 pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

      (b) may be viewed on the Council’s website at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices

    4. Persons wishing to object to or support the proposals or any part thereof should write to the Head of Engineering, Traffic and Parking Policy, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ within 21 days of the date of this Notice giving the grounds of their objection.     ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)

    Temporary Road Closure

    Friars Lane, Richmond

    1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate electrical works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Friars Lane, Richmond.

    2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait, or stand in Friars Lane from the junction with Retreat Road to a point outside Queensbury Place Car Park.

    3. The order will come into effect on 21 October 2024. The works are anticipated to be in progress on 21 October 2024 only. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

    4. An alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available Northbound via Friars Lane, Riverside, Water Lane, George Street, King Street, and The Green and Southbound Friars Lane, The Green, Red Lion Street, Parkshot, Sheen Road, Church Road, Paradise Road, and Friars Lane.

    5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

    6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

      (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

      (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

      (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade, or ambulance purposes.

    7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

    ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)

    Temporary Parking Restrictions

    High Street Whitton

    1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate telecoms works they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in High Street, Whitton.

    2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait, or stand in High Street Whitton in the bays outside numbers 49-77 and 60-88.

    3. The order will come into effect on 15 October 2024. The restrictions will be in force between 19.00 on 15 October 2024 and 05.00 on 16 October 2024. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

    4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

    5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

      (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

      (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

      (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade, or ambulance purposes.

    6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

    1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate sewer cleaning works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Latchmere Lane, Ham.

    2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait, or stand in Latchmere Lane from the junction with Ham Ridings to the junction with Church Road.

    3. The order will come into effect on 14 October 2024. The works are anticipated to be in progress on 14 October 2024 only. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

    4. An alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Upper Ham Road, Church Road, Tudor Drive, Latchmere Lane and vice versa.

    5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

    6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

      (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

      (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

      (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade, or ambulance purposes.

    7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
