What is happening?

(Pennypot Corner/Bournebridge Hill, Greenstead Green) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Pennypot Corner/Bournebridge Hill, Greenstead Green in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 125m north east of the junction with Rayne Hatch Lane for a distance of approximately 1425m in a north easterly direction to the junction with Russels Road. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th October 2024 for 2 nights (20:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2372877 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage investigation works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Pennypot Corner, Halstead Road, Gosfield Road, Braintree Road, The Street, Hedingham Road, Braintree Road, Halstead Road, Halstead Road - A1124, Hedingham Road, Market Hill, High Street, Bridge Street, Trinity Street, Mount Hill, Braintree Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 17th October 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Brickhouse Road, Colne Engaine) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Brickhouse Road, Colne Engaine in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 800m north west of the junction with Green Farm Road for a distance of approximately 300m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th October 2024 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30099522776 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Pebmarsh Road, The Green, Green Farm Road and vice versa (with access only into Brickhouse Road).
The Order came into effect on 3rd October 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.Top of Form
