What is happening?

Official Notice

4. The Order will come Into operation on 30 October 2024, and It Is anticipated that the work will be carried out within approximately one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS HILL ROAD AND PURLEY RISE. PURLEY TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC & PARKING

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to install a new electrical connection, they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic and parking in Hill Road and Purley Rise, Purley.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-

a) Purley Rise will be closed between its south-westernmost junction with Brighton Road (adjacent to No. 74 Brighton Road) and its junction with Hill Road.

b) Rolling parking bay suspensions will apply in the following lengths of road as works progress:

i) from No. 40 Purley Rise to its south-westernmost junction with Brighton Road (adjacent to No. 74 Brighton Road).

ii) in Hill Road on the south-west side adjacent to the flank wall of No. 11 Purley Rise.

3. Whilst the closure is in force, the diversion route for traffic will be via Purley Rise, Hill Road, Woodcote Valley Road, Grovelands Road, Brighton Road/A23 and vice versa.

4. The Order will come into operation on 24 October 2024, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within approximately seven weeks. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

HOLMESDALE ROAD. SOUTH NORWOOD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC AND PARKING

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate the installation of a new meter, strainer, DM and pillar on behalf of Thames Water, they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic and parking in Holmesdale Road, South Norwood.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-

a) Holmesdale Road will be closed between the common boundaries of Nos. 322 and 324 and Nos. 318 and 320 Holmesdale Road.

b) Parking will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time within the closure area.

3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative routes for diverted traffic will be as detailed below and appropriately signed.

* Via South Norwood Hill, High Street, Oliver Grove.

* Via South Norwood Hill, Whitworth Road, and Dixon Road.

4. The Order will come into operation on the 24 October 2024, and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out within approximately two weeks. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

5. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

6. The restrictions will not apply to any vehicle carrying out the said works, any vehicle used for police, ambulance, or fire service purposes, or to anything done with the permission of a police officer in uniform or civil enforcement officer.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS MITCHAM ROAD. CROYDON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PARKING

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate gas main purging and connection works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict parking in Mitcham Road, Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, parking bays on the north-east side of Mitcham Road between its junctions with Moys Close and Wingate Crescent will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions operating "at any time" will apply.

3. The Order will come into operation on 11 October 2024, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within 20 days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

4. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate new water connection works on behalf of Thames Water, they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic in Pollards Hill North, Norbury.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Pollards Hill North will be closed between its junction with Beech Road and the common boundary of Nos. 66 and 68 Pollards Hill North.

3. During the works the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure of Pollards Hill North will be via Beech Road, Norbury Court Road, Pollards Wood Road, Pollards Hill North and vice versa, as appropriately sign posted. Access to Hill Drive will be maintained.

4. The Order will come into operation on the 24 October 2024, and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out within 12 days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

5. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extents as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

6. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(b) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

(c) any vehicle used to carry out the said works.

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate telegraph pole and cabling replacement work on behalf of Openreach, they intend

to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic in Upper Selsdon Road, South Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Upper Selsdon Road will be closed between its junction with Addington Road and a point 40 metres north-west of that junction.

3. During the closure the diversion route for vehicular traffic will be via Addington Road, Farley Road, Croham Valley Road, Croham Road, and reversed.

4. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

5. The Order will come into operation on 27 October 2024, and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out within one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984. SECTION 16A AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION (SPECIAL EVENTS) ACT 1994 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER PLAY STREET CLOSURE - WESTFIELD AVENUE. SOUTH CROYDON

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that they intend to make an amendment to a Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to change the final date on which the section of Westfield Avenue, South Croydon, specified in this notice, is closed to vehicular traffic to facilitate a play street.

2. During the date specified in the Schedule to this notice Westfield Avenue will be closed between its junctions with Court Hill and Rectory Park. This replaces the original closure date of 27 October 2024.

3. During the closure the alternative route for traffic will be via Rectory Park, Hyde Road, Copthorne Rise and Westfield Avenue.

4. The provisions of the Order will not prevent access being maintained for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which this Order relates, or to any other premises accessible from, and only from, such a road.

5. Nothing in the Order shall apply:

a) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.

b) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

6. The amended Order will come into effect on Sunday 03 November 2024, during the times shown in the Schedule to this notice.
