Harford Street - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic For Construction Of New Building Facade

(HARFORD STREET ETC., NEWTOWN)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that Birmingham City Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from entering or proceeding
1. In a North-easterly direction along HARFORD STREET, NEWTOWN between its junction with Great Hampton Street and its junction with Barr Street.
2. In a North-westerly direction along BARR STREET, NEWTOWN between its junction with Harford Street and its junction with Hockley Street.
The Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic is required to allow the construction of new building facade and installation of protective hoarding to be undertaken in safety.
An alternative route for vehicles affected by this Order will be via Great Hampton Street, Great Hampton Row, Barr Street, Harford Street, Smith Street and Well Street.
These prohibitions shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
The Order will come into operation on 14th October 2024 and will remain in force for a period of EIGHTEEN MONTHS or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
