(JUNCTION 32A TO JUNCTION 33)
(TEMPORARY 50 MILES PER HOUR SPEED RESTRICTION)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National
Highways Limited has made an Order on the M62 Motorway, in the County of West Yorkshire, to enable maintenance and improvement works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start on Thursday 14 October for 6 months, or until completed.
The effect of the Order will be to impose, 24 hours a day, at times during the works, a temporary 50mph speed restriction on the M62:
(i) eastbound carriageway from a point 450 metres west of the tip of the nose of the eastbound exit slip road at junction 32A (Glasshoughton) to a point 220 metres east of the tip of the nose of the eastbound exit slip road at junction 33 (Ferrybridge), a distance of 3350 metres; and
(ii) westbound carriageway from a point 500 metres east of the tip of the nose of the westbound exit slip road at junction 33 to a
point 430 metres west of the centre point of Narrowbeck Railway Bridge, a distance of 3150 metres.
Traffic management will be in force 24 hours a day and traffic signs will indicate the extent of the restrictions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or special forces vehicles). The Order comes into force on 13 October 2024 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months
