What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN CHILTERN VIEW AND RIDGE AVENUE, LETCHWORTH GARDEN CITY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Chiltern View, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Hillbrow north westwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of Ridge Avenue, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Bennett Court south eastwards to its junction with Holmdale, a distance of approximately 103m.

An alternative route will be via Ridge Avenue, Broughton Hill, Pixmore Avenue, B656 Baldock Road, Pixmore Way and Ridge Avenue. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 28 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PARK STREET, BALDOCK) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Park Street, Baldock from a point in line with the western boundary of No.38 Park Street south westwards for a distance of approximately 70m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Park Street, Mansfield Road, Weston Way and Park Street.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 26 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Bear Lane, Ashwell from its junction with Silver Street south eastwards to its junction with Ashwell Street, a distance of approximately 185m.

An alternative route will be via Silver Street, Kingsland Way and Ashwell Street.

2. that length of Hertford Road, Stevenage from its junction with Nursery Close south eastwards to its junction with Kimbolton Crescent, a distance of approximately 103 m.

An alternative route will be via Hertford Road and Kimbolton Crescent. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 28 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B656 London Road, St Ippolyts from its junction with The Crescent north westwards to its junction with Mill Lane, a distance of approximately 470m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via B656 (London Road/Hitchin Road/ High Street/Codicote Road/Link Road/Church Street), B197 (Great North Road/Mardley Hill/London Road/ Stevenage Road/London Road), A602 (Lytton Way/Hitchin Road/Wymondley Bypass/ Stevenage Road) and B656 London Road or via B656 London Road, A602 (Stevenage Road/Wymondley Bypass/Hitchin Road/ Lytton Way/High Street/James Way/Lytton Way), B197 (London Road/Stevenage Road/London Road/Mardley Hill/Great North Road) and B656 (Church Street/Link Road/ Codicote Road/High Street/Hitchin Road/London Road) or via B656 (London Road/ Hitchin Road/High Street/Codicote Road/Link Road/Church Street), the A1(M), A602 (Wymondley Bypass/Stevenage Road) and B656 London Road.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Collison Close, Hitchin from its junction with Grovelands Avenue northwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of Talbot Street, Hitchin from its junction with Oughton Head Way north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 239m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

3. that length of Park Crescent, Baldock from its junction with Mansfield Road south eastwards, south westwards, south eastwards, north westwards and south westwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

4. that length of Conquest Close, Hitchin from its junction with A602 Stevenage Road south westwards and south eastwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

5. that length of Football Close, Baldock from its junction with A507 Station Road south westwards to its junction with Jackson Street, a distance of approximately 138m.

An alternative route will be via A507 Station Road, Icknield Way and Jackson Street.

6. that length of Hensley Close, Hitchin from its junction with Bowmans Drive south westwards and north westwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

7. that length of Bowmans Avenue, Hitchin from its junction with Stuart Road south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 195m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

8. that length of Spurrs Close, Hitchin from its junction with Bowmans Road north westwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

9. that length of Broom Grove, Knebworth from its junction with Orchard Way south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, south westwards and north eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Broadway, Letchworth Garden City from a point 259m south west of its junction with Station Place north eastwards for a distance of approximately 259m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Broadway, A505 (Hitchin Road/ Baldock Road), Norton Way South, Station Road and Station Place. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 28 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Ashwell Common, Graveley from its junction with Turf Lane south westwards to its junction with Ashwell Close, a distance of approximately 137m ("the Road"). There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 28 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Dane

End Lane/Warrens Green Lane, Weston from its junction with Halls Green south westwards, south eastwards, south westwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Weston Public Footpath No.028, a distance of approximately 2089m ("the length of Roads").

An alternative route will be via Halls Green, Maiden Street, Damask |

Green Road and Warrens Green Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to

be executed on or near the length of Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 28 October 2024

for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified

shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the

length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SPRINGHEAD, ASHWELL) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the

above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act

1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of

Springhead, Ashwell from a point in line with the northern

boundary of No.4 Springhead north westwards for a distance

of approximately 30m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Springhead, High Street, Gardiners

Lane, Swan Street, Mill Street and Springhead.

The Order is needed because sewer repair works are proposed

to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 14 October

2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions

specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BUCKLERSBURY, HITCHIN) ORDER NO.2 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bucklersbury, Hitchin from its junction with Tilehouse Street north eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Tilehouse Street, Bridge Street, B656 Queen Street, Hermitage Road, Bancroft and High Street. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 16 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF COREYS MILL LANE AND THE FOOTPATH SITUATED ON SOUTH SIDE OF COREYS MILL LANE, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Coreys Mill Lane, Stevenage from its junction with the A602 Hitchin Road/ Ingleside Drive roundabout north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 330m ("the Road").

To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Coreys Mill Lane, Stevenage from its junction with the A602 Hitchin Road/ Ingleside Drive roundabout north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 330m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via A602 Hitchin Road, B197 (Graveley Road/North Road) and Coreys Mill Lane.

2. To prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated on south side of Coreys Mill Lane, Stevenage from a point 50m north east of its junction with the subway situated beneath A602 Hitchin Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 50m ("the Footpath").

An alternative route will be via the cycle track situated on the south side of Coreys Mill Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed

to be executed on or near the Road and Footpath.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 14 October 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road and Footpath.
