What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HADHAM ROAD, STANDON) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hadham Road, Standon from its junction with Standon Public Footpath No.024 south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Standon Public Footpath No.005, a distance of approximately 226m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Hadham Road, High Street, A120 (Stortford Road/Standon Road), Standon Road, The Ash, The Ford, C15 (unnamed road), Bromley Lane and Hadham Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 30 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CROFT ROAD, WARE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Croft Road, Ware from its junction with B1001 Watton Road north eastwards and northwards for a distance of approximately 22m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via B1001 Watton Road, Canons Road, Lower Bourne Gardens and Croft Road.

The Order is needed because gas service repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 28 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HIGH STREET, PUCKERIDGE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of High Street, Puckeridge from its junction with Mentley Lane East south westwards for a distance of approximately 15m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Buntingford Road, B1368 Buntingford Road, A10 Puckeridge Bypass, A120 Standon Hill, South Road, Station Road and High Street.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 31 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HIGH WOOD ROAD, HODDESDON) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of High Wood Road, Hoddesdon from its junction with Cheffins Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 58m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Cheffins Road, Roselands Avenue and High Wood Road.

The Order is needed because telecom works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 14 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GILSTON LANE, GILSTON) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Gilston Lane, Gilston from its junction with Pye Corner north westwards for a distance of approximately 550m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Pye Corner, High Wych Road, High Wych Lane, Bakers Lane, 3U172 (unnamed road) and Gilston Lane.

The Order is needed because tree works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 17 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HARLINGS, HERTFORD HEATH) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Harlings, Hertford Heath from its junction with College Road north westwards for its entire length (“the Road”).

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because blockage clearance works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 14 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF EASTWICK ROAD, EASTWICK) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Eastwick Road, Eastwick from its junction with Burnt Mill Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 60m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Eastwick Road A414 (Fifth Avenue/ Edinburgh Way), A1184 (Cambridge Road/Harlow Road), High Wych Road, Pye Corner and Eastwick Road.

The Order is needed because tree cutting works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 17 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HORSESHOE LANE, GREAT HORMEAD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Horseshoe Lane, Great Hormead from the access leading to ‘Great Hormead Bury’ southwards for a distance of approximately 72m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Horseshoe Lane, Horseshoe Hill, B1038 (unnamed road), B1368 (unnamed road), Worsted Lane and Horseshoe Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 14 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN A1170 WADESMILL ROAD, WARE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A1170 Wadesmill Road, Ware from its junction with the Cambridge Road roundabout south westwards for a distance of approximately 420m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via A10 Wadesmill Bypass, the A120 Standon Hill roundabout and A10 Wadesmill Bypass or via A10 (unnamed road), the A602 Westmill Road roundabout and A10 (unnamed road).

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 14 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ASPENDEN ROAD, BUNTINGFORD) ORDER NO.2 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Aspenden Road, Buntingford from its junction with Abrahams Drive south westwards to its junction with the access road leading to ‘Watermill Industrial Estate,’ a distance of approximately 85m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Aspenden Road, London Road, A10 (unnamed road), the B1368 Buntingford Road roundabout, A10 (unnamed road), Station Hill, C16 (unnamed road), 3U20 (unnamed road) and Aspenden Road or via Aspenden Road, 3U20 (unnamed road), C16 (unnamed road), Station Hill, A10 (unnamed road), London Road and Aspenden Road.

The Order is needed because bridge works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 14 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
