What is happening?

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO.13) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.

Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force.

Phased works will not necessarily be done in numerical order.

Fibrus will ensure that local residents and the general public are informed of which roads are to be closed and when, nearer the time.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 31st October 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for 3 months in total and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

EXTENT OF RESTRICTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

1. A5092 Lowick Green - Start Date 31st October 2024 - Approx. duration 2 days (Ref: TTROW/11531) From its junction with the C5018, extending in a south easterly direction for approx 370m. Alternative Route: via the C5018 and the unrestricted section of the A5092.

2. C5018 Lowick Green - Start Date 2nd November 2024 - Approx. duration 2 days (Ref: TTROW/11533) From its junction with the A5092, extending in a north easterly direction for approx 360m. Alternative Route: via the A5092, A5084 and the unrestricted section of the C5018.

3. C5024 The Causeway, Bouth - Start Date 10th November 2024 - Approx. duration 3 days (Ref: TTROW/11548) From its junction with the C5024, extending in a south easterly direction for approx 1.3km. Alternative Route: via the A590, C5023 and the unrestricted section of the C5024.

4. C5024 Bouth - Start Date 13th November 2024 - Approx. duration 2 days (Ref: TTROW/11549) From its junction with the C5024, extending in a south westerly direction for approx 890m. Alternative Route: via the A590, C5023 and the unrestricted section of the C5024.

5. U5080 Blawith - Start Date 17th November 2024 - Approx. duration 4 days (Ref: TTROW/11579) From its junction with the A5084, extending in a south westerly direction for approx 2.1km. There is no suitable diversion route available.

6. U5082 Water Yeat - Start Date 23rd November 2024 - Approx. duration 2 days (Ref: TTROW/11553) From its junction with the A5084, extending in a south easterly direction for approx 600m. Alternative Route: via the A5084 and the C5018.

7. U5064 Bletherbarrow Lane, Nibthwaite - Start Date 25th November 2024 - Approx. duration 3 days (Ref: TTROW/11554) From its junction with the C5018, extending in a north easterly direction for approx 1.2km. There is no suitable diversion route available.

8. C5018 Wood Gate - Start Date 4th December 2024 - Approx. duration 3 days (Ref: TTROW/11584) From its junction with the A5092, extending in a south westerly direction for approx 1.9km. Alternative Route: via the A5092 and the B5281.

9. U5081 Water Yeat - Start Date 10th December 2024 - Approx. duration 3 days (Ref: TTROW/11576) From its junction with the U5080, extending in a northerly then north westerly direction for approx 1.km. There is no suitable diversion route available.
