What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL 

(A616 BUDBY ROAD AND A616 CUCKNEY ROAD, NORTON AND PERLETHORPE CUM BUDBY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (N24-300)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Norton in the District of Bassetlaw and Perlethorpe Cum Budby in the District of Newark and Sherwood. The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road.

a. Budby Road, Norton – From its junction with Cottage Lane, for a distance of 3500 metres in an Easterly direction.

b. Cuckney Road, Perlethorpe Cum Budby – From its junction with Netherfield Lane for a distance of 1620 metres in a North Westerly direction.

 2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (Both Sides) (From 20:00 Hours until 06:00 Hours) in the following length of road.

a. Budby Road, Norton – From its junction with Cottage Lane, for a distance of 3500 metres in an Easterly direction.

b. Cuckney Road, Perlethorpe Cum Budby – From its junction with Netherfield Lane for a distance of 1620 metres in a North Westerly direction.

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 20:00 Hours, Monday 28th October 2024 Until 06:00 Hours, Friday 8th November 2024 AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: a/b. A60 Worksop Road - A60 Mansfield Road - A619 Mansfield Road - A57 Worksop Bypass - A614 Blyth  Road - A616 Worksop Road and Vice Versa

The Order will come into force on Monday 28th October 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
