VARIOUS LOCATIONS, STAUNTON IN THE VALE - TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PROCEEDING
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS LOCATIONS, STAUNTON IN THE VALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PROCEEDING) ORDER 2024 (N24-289)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Staunton in the Vale in the District of Newark and Sherwood. The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. Corner Farm to Alverton Road, Staunton in the Vale – From its junction with High Street and Alverton Road
b. New Road to Corner Farm, Staunton in the Vale – From its junction with High Street to New Road
c. High Street, Staunton in the Vale – From its junction with High Street in a southerly direction for 70 metres
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road
a. Corner Farm to Alverton Road, Staunton in the Vale – From its junction with High Street and Alverton Road
b. New Road to Corner Farm, Staunton in the Vale – From its junction with High Street to New Road
c. High Street, Staunton in the Vale – From its junction with High Street in a southerly direction for 70 metres
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 09:00 hours Friday 25th October 2024
Until 15:00 hours Friday 20th December 2024 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. Corner Farm to Alverton Road, Staunton in the Vale – New Road - Normanton Lane - Staunton Road - Costa
Row - Valley Lane - Staunton Road - Grange Lane - New Road to Corner Farm - Corner Farm to Alverton Road and Vice versa
b. New Road to Corner Farm, Staunton in the Vale – New Road - Normanton Lane - Staunton Road - Costa Row - Valley Lane - Staunton Road - Grange Lane - New Road to Corner Farm - Corner Farm to Alverton Road and Vice versa
c. High Street, Staunton in the Vale – No alternative route available
The Order will come into force on Friday 25th October 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months). The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out works large scale patching works;
