Various Roads - To Introduce 40Mph Speed Limit
What is happening?
Manchester City Council proposes to make the CITY OF MANCHESTER (SPEED LIMITS) (VARIOUS ROADS ORDER 2017) (AMENDMENT NO.3) ORDER 2024
The effect of the proposed order is to revoke the 40mph speed limit on the following roads; (i)A635 Mancunian Way, from A57(M) Mancunian Way to Fairfield St and the road connecting the A635 Mancunian Way to the southbound carriageway of London Rd and Downing St. (ii)A6010 Wilbraham Rd, from Wilmslow Rd to Princess Rd. (iii) B5166 Styal Rd, from the boundary with Cheshire East Council to Simonsway. (iv) A34 Kingsway, from Moseley Rd to the boundary with Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council (a point 345m south of the southern kerbline of Oakway. (v) A5145 Parrs Wood Lane, from a point 26m southwest of the projected western kerbline of Kingsway to a point 14m northeast of the projected eastern kerbline of Kingsway. The lengths of road will revert to 30mph on the making of the said Order. To introduce 40mph speed limit on the following roads; (i)A555, Manchester from Ringway Rd to the boundary with Stockport MBC. (ii)Kingsway from the boundary with Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council in a NE direction for 82m. Existing Orders are to be amended so as to be consistent with the proposal. A copy of the proposed Order together with the statement of reasons and plans showing the proposals may be inspected by appointment at the Customer Service Centre Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA (for Sat.
