Skillings Lane - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic For The Works

What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL 
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC SKILLINGS LANE, BROUGH (PART) 

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Skillings Lane, Brough (part) to carry out S278 Entrance works and a major MPG diversion for the works commencing Monday 28 October 2024.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. 
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 20 December 2024
The alternative route for traffc affected by this closure will be via the remainder of Skillings Lane, Saltsground Road, Station Road and Welton Road, Brough. 
The road will remain open for emergency services, residents access and pedestrians.
