Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council is under the above Order dated 2nd September 2024 continuing to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Polbreen Lane, St Agnes between property number 2 and the junction of Vicarage Road.

The Order which commenced on the 16th September 2024 and is currently in force for up to eighteen months will now continue until the 25th October 2024. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

The Council is satisfied that this further restriction is necessary owing to engineering difficulties and the Order is needed because building repair works are being executed on or near the road.

Nothing in this Order will apply to emergency services, bus traffic, school buses, cyclists, traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer. Pedestrian and Vehicular access to residents and businesses will be maintained.

The County of Cornwall (Poltesco Lane, Helston) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Ruan Minor. This prohibition is necessary for poling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 7th November 2024 for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0830 and 1530, weekdays only. 

Road affected - Poltesco Lane, Ruan Minor between the junctions of Ruan Minor and Glebe Place.

This prohibition is necessary for cabling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 25th October 2024 for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1400, weekdays only.

Road affected - Poltesco Lane, Ruan Minor between the junctions of Ruan Minor and Glebe Place.

This prohibition is necessary for poling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 25th October 2024 for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0830 and 1530, weekdays only.

Road affected - Polurrian Road, Mullion between the junctions of Clifden Close and Nansmellyon Road.

This prohibition is necessary for cabling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 9th November 2024 to 7th January 2025. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

This prohibition is necessary for repair works to Orchard Cottage and it is expected that the closure will be from 21st October 2024 to 25th October 2024. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only.

Road affected - Road From Cusgarne To Junction At Mill Cottage, Cusgarne from junction with Cusgarne Hill to Hope Cottage.

The County of Cornwall (Highertown, Station Road, Richmond Hill and Ferris Town, Truro) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic and Stopping) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above order dated 7th October 2024 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned lengths of road in Truro. This prohibition is necessary for resurfacing works and it is expected that the closure will be from 27th October 2024 to 10th November 2024.

Roads subject to prohibition - Highertown between grid reference SW81271 44676 and the junction of Station Road and Station Road, Richmond Hill and Ferris Town for their entire lengths, Truro.

Notice is further given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 7th October 2024 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily impose a stopping prohibition the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle to stop as specified on the undermentioned lengths of road in Truro. Where any vehicle is found to be in contravention of this Order it may receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) and may be removed from site.

Roads subject to stopping prohibition - Highertown between grid reference SW81271 44676 and the junction of Station Road and Station Road, Richmond Hill and Ferris Town for their entire lengths, Truro.

Notice is further given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily suspend the existing parking bays order, The County of Cornwall (West Central Cornwall) (On-Street Parking Places and Restrictions on Waiting) (Consolidation) Order 2024 between grid references SW81451 44861, Station Road and SW82075 44834, Richmond Hill, Truro.

The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 1900 and 0600, weekends included.

This prohibition is necessary for sewer cleaning works and it is expected that the closure will be from 5th November 2024 for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 1900 and 2300, weekdays only.
