What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Wantage, Portway Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 28 October 2024 Coming into force: 4 November 2024

This Order is being introduced because of 'Openreach' ducting work, de-silting and providing cable routes etc. which is anticipated to be completed 16 November 2024. Works will operate between 09:30 and 15:30. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in Portway and Ickleton Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the A338, B4000, B4001 (New Road) B4507 and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T14215/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Abingdon, A4138 Lodge Hill Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 24 June 2024 Came into force: 5 July 2024

This Order was introduced because of Deck refurbishment of the bridge carrying the A1483 over the A34 working in collaboration with Southern Gas which was anticipated to be completed 26 August 2024. Adverse weather has delayed completion which is now anticipated to finish during November 2024.

The closure is for Oxford Road (A4183) from Dunmore Road over Lodge Hill interchange to Sugworth Lane junction. Works are planned for various weekend road closures from 9pm Friday evening to 6am Monday inclusive.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the A415 to Marcham Interchange to A34 to Hinksey Hill Interchange to Hinksey Hill, to Oxford Road and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T13934/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Moulsford, A329 Reading Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 30 September 2024 Coming into force: 12 October 2024

This Order is being introduced because of railway bridge repair works which are anticipated to be completed 27 October 2024. This will operate between 22:00 and 06:00hours on the following nights: 12/13.10.24; 24/25.10.24; 25/26.10.24; 26/27.10.24. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the A329 for 965 metres over the bridge.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access for cyclists will be escorted through. The alternative route for traffic is via the A329, A4130, High Road, A4130, A417, A4130, A417, A329 and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T14207/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Ewelme, Brook Street (between Benson & Ewelme) Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 25 September 2024 Coming into force: 9 October 2024

This Order is being introduced because of bridge parapet repair works which is anticipated to take 2 weeks to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding in the section of Brook Street between Benson & Ewelme.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Traffic will be diverted via Brook Street - Eyre's Lane - B4009 - The Stands - High Street - Brook Street and vice-versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T14473/MR)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

East Hagbourne, Main Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 21 October 2024 Coming into force: 26 October 2024

This Order is being introduced because of essential gas main replacement works that is anticipated to take 6 weeks to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding in the part of Main Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Traffic will be diverted via Main Road - Brook Lane - Main Street -London Road - Bessel's Way - Blewbury Road - Main Road and vice-versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T14429/MR)
