GORCHYMYN CEFNFFORDD YR A5 (BETWS-Y-COED, CONWY) (GWAHARDDIADAU A CHYFYNGIADAU TRAFFIG DROS DRO) 202-

MAE GWEINIDOGION CYMRU yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn o dan adran 14 o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 ymhen dim llai na 7 niwrnod i ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn. Mae angen y Gorchymyn arfaethedig er mwyn gwneud gwaith ar gefnffordd yr A5 ym Metws-y-coed, Conwy, neu gerllaw iddi.

Effaith y Gorchymyn arfaethedig fydd gwneud y canlynol dros dro:

i) gwahardd cerbydau rhag stopio ar ochrau’r darn o’r gefnffordd ym Metws-y-coed sy’n ymestyn o’r arwydd 20 mya ar y ffordd ddynesu tua’r de i mewn i Fetws-y-coed hyd at ei chyffordd â Station Road.

ii) gosod terfyn cyflymder o 10 milltir yr awr ar y darn o’r gefnffordd a bennir yn i) o’r Hysbysiad hwn. Ni chaniateir goddiweddyd pan fydd y terfyn cyflymder o 10 milltir yr awr yn weithredol.

Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 4 Tachwedd 2024 a bydd yn weithredol fin nos/yn ystod y nos, rhwng 17:30 o’r gloch a 05:00 o’r gloch (er y ceisir sicrhau bod y gwaith yn dod i ben cyn hanner nos pan fo’n bosibl, gan ystyried preswylwyr lleol), tan 8 Tachwedd 2024 neu hyd nes y caiff yr arwyddion traffig dros dro eu symud ymaith yn barhaol.

Dim ond yn ystod y cyfnod a bennir uchod y disgwylir i’r gwaharddiadau a’r cyfyngiadau dros dro fod yn weithredol. Er hynny, bydd y Gorchymyn yn parhau’n ddilys am gyfnod o 18 mis ar y mwyaf rhag ofn y bydd angen ailamserlennu’r gwaith neu wneud gwaith canlyniadol neu waith arall. Bydd hysbysiad ymlaen llaw am unrhyw newidiadau i’r amseroedd a’r dyddiadau yn cael ei arddangos cyn gwneud unrhyw waith a ailamserlennir.

THE A5 TRUNK ROAD (BETWS-Y-COED, CONWY) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 202-

THE WELSH MINISTERS propose, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which is necessary to undertake works on or near the A5 trunk road at Betws-y-Coed, Conwy.

The effect of the proposed Order will be to temporarily:

i) prohibit vehicles from stopping on the sides of the length of trunk road at Betws-y-Coed that extend from the 20 mph sign on the southbound approach into Betws-y-Coed to its junction with Station Road.

ii) impose a 10 miles per hour speed limit on the length of the trunk road specified at i) of this Notice. No overtaking will be allowed when the 10 miles per hour speed limit is in operation.

The Order will come into force on 4 November 2024 and will operate during evening/night time hours, between 17:30 hours and 05:00 hours (although the works will endeavour to cease prior to midnight wherever possible in consideration of local residents) until 8 November 2024 or until the temporary traffic signs are permanently removed.

Although the temporary prohibitions and restrictions are only expected to operate during the period specified above the Order will remain valid for a maximum period of 18 months, as a contingency, should the work need to be rescheduled or consequential or other work is required. Advance notice of any changes to times and dates will be displayed before any rescheduled work.
