THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL

Lightwater By-Pass (A322) and Broadway Road (C4) Lightwater Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 08 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: – 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of: – (a) The south-eastbound carriageway to A322 Lightwater By-Pass, Lightwater that extends from a point 250m southeast of the southern side of its roundabout junction with the M3, to the northern side of its junction with D21 Blackstroud Lane East, a length of approximately 1725m. Alternative route: – A322 Lightwater By-Pass, C5 Guildford Road Junction (250m south from M3/A322 Roundabout), C5 Guildford Road, A322 Lightwater By-Pass/C5 Guildford Road Junction (2230 m south from M3/A322 Roundabout). (b) The north-westbound carriageway to A322 Lightwater By-Pass, Lightwater that extends from a point 250m north of the northern side of the roundabout junction of B311 Red Road, A319 Bagshot Road and A322 Guildford Road, the “Gordon Boys Roundabout”, to a point 2385m north of the northern side of the “Gordon Boys Roundabout”. Alternative route: – A322 Lightwater By-Pass, C5 Guildford Road Junction (250m north from the “Gordon Boys Roundabout”), C5 Guildford Road, A322 Lightwater By-Pass/C5 Guildford Road Junction (2385m north from the “Gordon Boys Roundabout”). (c) The north-eastbound carriageway to C4 Broadway Road, Lightwater that extends from the northern side of its junction with C4 All Saints Road, north-eastwards for a distance of 150m. Alternative route: – C4 Broadway Road, C5 Guildford Road, A322 Lightwater By-Pass, A319 Bagshot Road, D23 Windlesham Road, D22 Blackstroud Lane East, D21 Burnt Pollard Lane, D21 Hook Mill Lane and C4 Broadway Road. (d) The south-westbound carriageway to C4 Broadway Road, Lightwater that extends from the northern side of its junction with C4 All Saints Road, north-eastwards for a distance of 150m. Alternative route: – C4 Broadway Road, D21 Hook Mill Lane, D21 Burnt Pollard Lane, D22 Blackstroud Lane East, D23 Windlesham Road, A319 Bagshot Road, A322 Lightwater By-Pass, C5 Guildford Road and C4 Broadway Road. 2. Prohibit any person from entering or proceeding on foot or by any other means in that length of the footway to C4 Broadway Road, Lightwater that extends from the northern side of its junction with C4 All Saints Road, north-eastwards for a distance of 150m. Alternative route: – C4 Broadway Road, Right of Way Route 33, Right of Way Route 34, C5 Guildford Road and C4 All Saints Road.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out works to the “Lightwater ByPass Bridge”, to include but not limited to: – investigations and/or joints and bearing replacement and/ or concrete repairs and/or replacement/repairs to the parapet and barriers on Lightwater By-Pass Bridge and on Broadway Road and/or surface treatments/resurfacing and/or improvement and/or maintenance and/or footway works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 7am, as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 23 October 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Due to the nature of the works and on the grounds of safety there will be no access through the works areas whilst works are in progress and all traffic including pedestrians, residents and the emergency services will be required to use the signed alternative routes detailed above. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Various in Surrey Heath Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2024
On 8 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface treatment/dressing works, pre-patching works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 October 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

Alternative Route – B383 Windsor Road, B386 Cherstey Road Valley End, C7 Highams Lane, C7 Halebourne Lane, A319 Bagshot Road, A319 High Street and B383 Windsor Road;
2. that length of B3015 The Maultway, Camberley which extends from its junction with A30 London Road to its roundabout junction with Red Road. Alternative Route – B311 Upper Chobham Road, B311 Chobham Road, A325 Portsmouth Road and A30 London Road;
3. that length of C11 Castle Grove Road, Chobham which extends from its junction with C11 Guildford Road to the northern property boundary of “Bridge Cottage. Alternative Route – C11 Castle Grove Road, A319 Bagshot Road, A322 Guildford Road, C11 Fellow Green, C11 Beldam Bridge Road and C11 Scotts Grove Road;
4. that length of D21 Blackstroud Lane East, Lightwater which extends from its junction with A322 Lightwater By-Pass and its junction with Burnt Pollard Lane. Alternative Route 1 – A322 Lightwater By-Pass, A322 Guildford Road, A322 Gordons School Roundabout, A319 Bagshot Road, D23 Windlesham Road and D22 Blackstroud Lane East; Alternative Route 2 – D22 Blackstroud Lane East, D23 Windlesham Road, A319 Bagshot Road, A22 Gordons School Roundabout, A322 Guildford Road, A322 Lightwater By-Pass, A322 Bagshot By-Pass and A322 Lighwater By-Pass;
5. that length of D21 Rye Grove, Windlesham which extends from its junction with Woodlands Lane to its junction with the access road leading to Glanfield Manor. Alternative Route – D21 Rye Grove, D21 Hook Mill Lane, C4 Broadway Road, C4 Thorndown Lane and C4 Woodlands Lane;
6. the entire length of D3448 Hamesmoor Road, Mytchett. Alternative Route – D3448 Coleford Bridge Road and B3411 Mytchett Road;
7. that length of D3488 Old Bisley Road, Frimley which extends from its junction with Upper Chobham Road and its junction with Edgemoor Road. Alternative Route – B311 Upper Chobham Road, B3015 The Maultway and D3488 Old Bisley Road.

D27 Fenns Lane, West End Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D27 Fenns Lane, West End. This Traffic Order is required to enable FM Conway/Affinity Water to carry out water mains repair and/or maintenance works in D27 Fenns Lane at its junction with D27 Brentmoor Road. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 4pm, within 3 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route: – Fenns Lane, Lucas Green Road, Kerria Way, Guildford Road and Brentmoor Road.
