What is happening?
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (DIXON STREET) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Dixon Street in both directions at the railway bridge. The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 22:00 on 18 October 2024 until 06:00 on 19 October 2024. The diversion route is: Thompson Avenue, Parkfield Road, Ettingshall Road and vice versa The Order is required to facilitate the replacement/repair of damage on the low bridge by Network Rail.
