Kingston Lane - Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles For Carriageway Patching Works

What is happening?

The Nottinghamshire County Council

(Kingston Lane, Kingston On Soar) (Temporary Prohibition Of Proceeding) Order 2024 (R24-212)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Kingston on Soarin the Borough of Rushcliffe The effects of the Order will be :

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:

a. Kingston Lane, Kingston on Soar - From its junction with Station Road in a north easterly direction for 130 metres

2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road:

a. Kingston Lane, Kingston on Soar - From its junction with Station Road in a north easterly direction for 130 metres

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as
required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs
are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will
apply as follows : From 09:30 hours until 15:30 hours From Friday 18th October 2024 until Monday 21st October 2024 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: Kingston Lane - Station Road - Side Ley - A453 roundabout - A453 Remembrance Way - Green Street Slip Road - Green Street - Kegworth Road - Kingston Lane and vice versa

The Order will come into force on 18th October 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.

The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out carriageway patching works.
