SECTION 14(1)(a) AND (7) THE A46 TRUNK ROAD (NEWARK-ON-TRENT, NOTTINGHAMSHIRE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an order on the A46 Trunk Road, at Newark-on-Trent, in the County of Nottinghamshire, to allow electrical duct installation works to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to close the northwestern section of the roundabout junction of the A46, the A17 and the A1 slip roads (Winthorpe Interchange), at Newark-onTrent, from its junction with the northbound carriageway of the A46 (leading from Brownhills Roundabout), to its
junction with the southbound carriageway of the A46 (leading from A1133 Winthorpe Roundabout). The work will be carried out overnight, on weeknights only, between 20:00 hours and 06:00 hours and is expected to start on Monday 7 October 2024 and continue for three weeks. The Order will come into force on 30 September 2024. Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closure. A diversion route via the A46/B6166/A1 roundabout junction will be signed.
