What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Manor Lane, Harwich) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Manor Lane, Harwich in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Elizabeth Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th November 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30059967284 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Manor Road, Main Road, Fronks Road and vice versa (with access only into Manor Lane).

The Order will come into effect on 11th October 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Station Road, Lawford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Station Road, Lawford in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Riverside Avenue West for a distance of approximately 90m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd November 2024 for 1 night (20:00-07:00), or where stated on a valid permit (KL701MAH-59-67-021124 - Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bridge inspection works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.

An alternative route is available via Station Road, High Street, The Walls, New Road, Long Road, Coxs Hill, Dale Hall Roundabout, Station Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 11th October 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
