What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (U6I89 REAR OF DALTON ROAD, BARROW IN FURNESS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the rear of Dalton Road, Barrow in Furness from its junction with Greengate Street, extending in a north westerly then north easterly direction for approx 30 metres. A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via Greengate Street, Paradise Street, Harrison Street, Church Street, and the unrestricted section of Dalton Road.

The Order will come into operation on 11th October 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 5 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
