Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
B2027 CLINTON LANE, BOUGH BEECH, TN8 7PP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of tree cutting works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2027 Clinton Lane, Bough Beech, on or after 14th October 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from How Green Lane for approx. 180 metres southwards.
The alternative route is via B2027 Clinton Lane, B2027 Bough Beech Road, B2042 Ide Hill Road, B2042 Green Lane, B2042 Wheatsheaf Hill, B2042 Cold Arbor Road, A25 Worships Hill, A25 The Square, A224 Amherst Hill, A224 London Road, A224 High Street, A225 Tonbridge Road, A225 Riverhill, B2027 Leigh Road, B2027 Stocks Green Road, B2027 Hildenborough Road, B2027 Penshurst Road, B2027 Compasses Hill, B2027 Chequers Hill and vice versa.
The alternative route for any HGV traffic is via Hever Road, Uckfield Lane, Cowden Pound Road, B2026, B2110, A264, B2188, B2176, B2027 (bridge over road, but not registered as low), Rings Hill, Watts Cross Road, B245, A225, A224, A25, B269 and vice versa.
B2027 HIGH STREET, LEIGH, TN11 8RS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of a new water connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2027 High Street, Leigh, on or after 29th October 2024 for up to 3 days between 07:00hrs and 19:00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Park View.
The alternative route is via B2027 High Street, B2027 Penshurst Road, B2027 Tonbridge Road, B2027 Compasses Hill, B2176 Moorden Lane, B2176 Station Hill, B2176 Rogues Hill, B2176 Penshurst Road, B2176 Bidborough Ridge, A26 London Road, A26 Quarry Hill Road, A26 Quarry Hill Parade, B2260 Railway Approach, B2260 High Street, A227 High Street, B245 London Road, B245 Tonbridge Road, B2027 Leigh Road, B2027 Stocks Green Road, B2027 Hildenborough Road and vice versa.
BETHEL ROAD, SEVENOAKS, TN13 3TL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of a new sewer connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bethel Road, Sevenoaks, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed. The One Way will be suspended to allow access.
The road will be closed outside number 34.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bethel Road, Cedar Terrace Road, Holly Bush Lane, Bayham Road, Quakers Hall Lane, Bethel Road.
Quakers Hall Lane, St. Johns Hill/Dartford Road, Holly Bush Lane, Cedar Terrace Road and Bethal Road for the opposite direction.
BILLET HILL, ASH, TN15 7HE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Billet Hill, Ash, on or after 15th October 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Lilac Bank.
The alternative route is via The Street, South Ash Road, Ash Lane, A20 London Road, Crowhurst Lane and vice versa.
BILLET HILL, ASH, TN15 7HH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Billet Hill, Ash, on or after 18th October 2024 for up to 1 day between 08.00hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Conningdale to Hazelwood.
The alternative route is via The Street, South Ash Road, Ash Lane, A20 London Road, Crowhurst Lane and vice versa.
CASTLE HILL, HARTLEY, DA3 8LU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of a new gas service, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Castle Hill, Hartley, on or after 14th October 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Hurstgrove.
The alternative route is via Castle Hill, Fawkham Road, B260 Main Road, Hartley Road, Ash Road and vice versa.
CHARCOTT, LEIGH, TN11 8LG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of drainage cleansing works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Charcott, Leigh, on or after 1st November 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Camp Hill and The Greyhound Pub.
The alternative route is via Charcott, Camp Hill and vice versa.
NIGHTINGALE LANE, IDE HILL, TN14 6DB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Nightingale Lane, Ide Hill, on or after 31st October 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with B2042 Wheatsheaf Hill.
The alternative route is via B2042 Wheatsheaf Hill, Gracious Lane, Nightingale Lane, and vice versa.
OLD MARSH GREEN ROAD, EDENBRIDGE, TN8 5QG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Old Marsh Green Road, Edenbridge, on or after 29th October 2024 for up to 10 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Marsh Green Pre-School to outside of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
The alternative route is via Old Marsh Green Road, B2028 Marsh Green Road and vice versa.
PILGRIMS WAY WEST, OTFORD, TN14 5JL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of the installation of traffic calming, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way West, Otford, on or after 18th October 2024 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Twitton Lane and Rye Lane.
The alternative route is via Pilgrims Way West, London Road, A224 London Road, A25 Maidstone Road/Bradbourne Vale Road, A225 Otford Road/Sevenoaks Road, High Street and vice versa.
VARIOUS ROADS, ASH, SEVENOAKS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on Various Roads, Ash, Sevenoaks, as per the schedule below. Only one road will be closed at a time.
Bunkers Hill Road – From Rectory Road To Outside Ridley Farm18th October 2024 for 1 dayDiversion is via Rectory Road, New Street Road and vice versa.
Rectory Road – Adjacent to The Old Rectory18th October 2024 for 1 day Diversion is via New Street Road, Bunkers Hill Road and vice versa.
Ridley Hill – From The Rear Of St Peters Church to Rectory Road
18th October 2024 for 1 day
Diversion is via Rectory Road, New Street Road, Idleigh Court Road, Hartley Bottom Road and vice versa.
