What is happening?

CITY OF BRISTOL (COTE LANE, WESTBURY-ON-TRYM, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Cote Lane which extends from the access to Chaplains Gate north westwards for 40 metres.

The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 23rd October 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months.

However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 8:00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. daily from 23rd October 2024 to 30th October 2024).

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: None – No through road

(CHARLOTTE STREET AND HILL STREET, CITY CENTRE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (TEMPORARY ONE WAY TRAFFIC) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is:-

1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Charlotte Street which extends from Hill Street to Park Street;

2. to introduce, temporarily, one way traffic working in a south easterly direction in Hill Street, from Charlotte Street to Great George Street; and

3. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered, the existing one way traffic working in a north easterly direction in Charlotte Street, from Hill Street to Park Street, so as to allow access and egress for works vehicles.

Exemption will be provided in the Order for vehicles requiring necessary access to premises situated on, adjacent to or accessible only from that closed length of road as specified in item 1. above.

The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 28th October 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months.

However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place on multiple occasions and to be of 1 to 5 days duration for each closure within the eighteen month period).

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Hill Street, Great George Street, Park Street.

(STANLEY STREET NORTH, BEDMINSTER, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is:-

1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Stanley Street North which extends from British Road to West Street; and

2. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered, the existing one way traffic working in a south easterly direction in Stanley Street North, so as to allow access and egress for works vehicles.

Exemption will be provided in the Order for vehicles requiring necessary access to premises situated on, adjacent to or accessible only from that closed length of road as specified above.

The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 7th October 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months.

However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 7th October 2024 and 9th October 2024).

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: British Road, Chessel Street, West Street.
