Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
DOVER AREA
B2046 ADISHAM ROAD, ADISHAM (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2046 Adisham Road, Adisham, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Waterworks Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via B2046 Adisham Road, B2046 High Street, A257 High Street, A257 Gobery Hill, A257 Roman Road, A257 Pedding Hill, A257 Ash Bypass, A256 Sandwich Bypass, A256 Sandwich Road, A256 Eastry Bypass, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road, A256 Whitfield Bypass, A256 Link between Whitfield Interchange Roundabouts, A2 Dover Road Slip Westbound On, A2 Between Whitfield Roundabout And Junction With A256, A2 Dover Road, A2 Barham Slip Westbound Off, A260 Old Dover Road, A260 Box Iron Road, B2046 and Box Iron Road.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via B2046 Box Iron Road, A2 Barham Slip Eastbound On, A2 Dover, Road, A2 Between Whitfield Roundabout And Junction With A256, A2 Dover Road Slip Eastbound Off, A256 Whitfield Bypass, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, A256 Eastry Bypass, A256 Sandwich Road, A256 Sandwich Bypass, A257 Ash Bypass, A257 Pedding Hill, A257 Roman Road, A257 Gobery Hill, A257 High Street, B2046 High Street and B2046 Adisham Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
B2056 CORNWALL ROAD, WALMER, CT14 7JA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2056 Cornwall Road, Walmer, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of A258 Dover Road and Devon Avenue, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via A258 Dover Road, A258 The Strand, A258 Victoria Road, A258 Ranelagh Road, A258 Prince Of Wales Terrace, A258 Beach Street, A258 Broad Street, A258 Queen Street, A258 London Road, B2056 Manor Road, B2056 Mill Road, B2056 Hamilton Road and B2056 Cornwall Road.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via B2056 Cornwall Road, B2056 Hamilton Road, B2056 Mill Road, B2056 Manor Road, A258 London Road, A258 Queen Street, A258 Broad Street, A258 Beach Street, A258 Prince Of Wales Terrace, A258 Deal Castle Road, A258 Victoria Road, A258 The Strand, and A258 Dover Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
BEACON LANE, WOODNESBOROUGH, CT13 0PB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beacon Lane, Woodnesborough, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Foxborough Hill and Drainless Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Beacon Lane, Foxborough Hill, Drainless Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
BOYES LANE, GOODNESTONE, CT3 1PE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Boyes Lane, Goodnestone, on or after 14th October 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Fitzwalters Meadow, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Boyes Lane, Saddlers Hill, Cave Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
CHERRY LANE, GREAT MONGEHAM, CT14 0HG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cherry Lane, Great Mongeham, on or after 14th October 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed opposite Pippin Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cherry Lane, Northbourne Road, Mongeham Road and vice versa.
DOVER ROAD, SANDWICH, CT13 9JP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dover Road, Sandwich, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the railway crossing to the junction of St Barts Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via New Street, Cattle Market, Harnet Street, Strand Street, Ash Road, A256 Sandwich Bypass, A258 Deal Road, Deal Road and Dover Road.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Dover Road, Deal Road, A258 Deal Road, A256 Sandwich Bypass, Ash Road, Strand Street, High Street, The Chain, Galliard Street and New Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
DOWNS ROAD, EAST STUDDAL, CT15 5DD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Downs Road, East Studdal, on or after 14th October 2024 for up to 15 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Northbourne Road and Stoneheap Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Downs Road, Stoneheap Road, Stoneheap Bottom Road, Willow Woods Road, Beacon Hill, Vale Road, Church Hill and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
MIDDLE STREET, DEAL, CT14 6TR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Middle Street, Deal, on or after 28th October 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Oak Street and Chapel Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Middle Street, Oak Street, Beach Street, King Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
SILVER STREET, DEAL, CT14 6AF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Silver Street, Deal, on or after 14th October 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 11, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Silver Street, Beach Street, Golden Street, Middle Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
