Ashford, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

ASHFORD AREA

A262 TENTERDEN ROAD, BIDDENDEN, TN27 8BQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2024

To allow sewer connection and new access works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of A262 Tenterden Road, Biddenden, from 28th October 2024, with estimated completion by 3rd November 2024, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Benenden Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A262 Tenterden Road, A28 Ashford Road, A268 Rye Road, A229 Cranbrook Road, A262 Sissinghurst Road and A262 High Street.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

BENTLEY ROAD, WILLESBOROUGH, TN24 0ET (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2024

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bentley Road, Willesborough, from 16th October 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 107, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Osbourne Road, Hunter Avenue, Bentley Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

CHURCH ROAD, WAREHORNE. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2024

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Church Road, Warehorne, from 06.00 hours on 19th October 2024, with estimated completion by 20.00 hours on 20th October 2024, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the level crossing, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Church Road, B2067 Warehorne Road, B2067 The Street, Marsh Road, Ashford Road, A2070 From J A2070/B2080 Roundabout To J A2042, Ham Mill Lane, Cuckolds Lane, Arrowhead Lane, Snargate Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

PLUCKLEY ROAD, CHARING. (TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2024

To allow new service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to impose a temporary mandatory 30 mph speed restriction on part of Pluckley Road, Charing, from 1st November 2024, with estimated completion by 12th November 2024, or until the works have been completed.

The temporary mandatory 30 mph speed restriction on Pluckley Road, Charing will be imposed 60m either side of Charing Pumping Station, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

POUNDHURST ROAD, RUCKINGE, TN26 2PQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2024

To allow utility repair and maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Poundhurst Road, Ruckinge, from 20th October 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 06.00 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Stone Cross Road, Stonegate Lane, Ash Hill, Poundhurst Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

SURRENDEN ROAD, PLUCKLEY, TN27 0PP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2024

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Surrenden Road, Pluckley, from 14th October 2024, with estimated completion by 16th October 2024, between the hours of 08.00 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from ‘Kiln Plat’ to ‘Oak Wood’, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Swan Lane, Smarden Road, The Street, Station Road, Malmains Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

THE STREET, PLUCKLEY, TN27 0QS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2024

To allow new service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Street, Pluckley, from 28th October 2024, with estimated completion by 1st November 2024, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of 4 Yew Tree Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Station Road, Chambers Green Road, Smarden Road, Forge Hill, The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
